The Digital Splash Awards are an annual celebration of photography, brought to you by Wilkinson Cameras. Open to UK photographers, the Digital Splash Awards, sponsored by Epson, is a monthly themed photo competition with the chance to win a £100 to spend at Wilkinson Cameras. The winner of each monthly competition will then go head to head in the Grand Final at the end of the year for a chance to win a further £500, £300 and £100 to spend at Wilkinson Cameras!

The Digital Splash Awards 2017 featured 8 categories. The winners are listed alongside these categories below and the winning images are showcased in the gallery at the bottom of the page.
Congratulations to everyone who made it to the Final. As well as winning the monthly prize of £100 in Wilkinson Cameras vouchers, each of the winners below went on to the Final at Digital Splash Photography Show 2017. This took place at Exhibition Centre Liverpool and featured the Digital Splash Awards Gallery. Here, we asked our guest pro photographers to pick their favourites.

1st place was awarded to February’s Landscape competition winner, Pete Stevens with his entry “Glen Orchy in Winter Light.” He took home the title of “Digital Splash Photographer of the year,” as well as a further £500 to spend at Wilkinson Cameras!
Thomas Heaton said, “A wonderfully subdued image. Well composed and well processed.”
While Alyn Wallace added, “Dramatic light, stunning textures, and a fantastic balance of multiple elements for a great composition. I was sucked into the depths of this image.”
In 2nd place is June’s Animals & Wildlife competition winner Ken Wilkie with his entry, “Puffins In The Rain.” Ken has won a further £300 to spend at Wilkinson Cameras.
Jeff Ascough said, “Great timing. Lovely use of the environment and well composed,” and Elke, “A cute and funny scene. I love that all puffins watch the jump. The rain gives a lovely texture and mood to the image.”

In 3rd place was May’s Street competition winner Tommy Runcorn with his entry “Cold & Alone”. Tommy won a second £100 Wilkinson Cameras Voucher.
Thomas Heaton said, “This is a perfectly timed and well composed image which really captures the essence of street photography.”
