Thank you to everyone who entered the Architecture photography competition in June. We had a record number of entries to this year’s architecture theme, narrowing down our shortlist of 12 from 100’s of impressive entries. Below you will find a gallery with everyone who made it to the shortlist. We hope you’ll enjoy looking through them as much as we did. Another truly versatile collection of images in this month’s competition – well done if your entry made it this far!

Architecture Winner: Mark Greenfield

A massive congratulations to Mark Greenfield who has won £100 to spend at Wilkinson Cameras and will go through to the final for a chance to win another £500 in Wilkinson Cameras vouchers. We loved the geometric, monotone approach to what looks to be a very difficult subject to photograph. From the silver tones of the staircase and concrete, to the wheeled cart in the bottom right corner, there’s plenty of detail, texture and scale within the image that makes the viewer look deeper each time. This combined with the flawless composition and exposure perfectly sums up what we think makes a great architecture image.
